Faruk Malhan

Born in Izmir, 1947. Graduated from the department of Architecture at the Middle East Technical University in 1971.

Founded the Koleksiyon Furniture Company in a small metal worshop in Ankara the same year. Has designed numerous furniture items and architectural projects. Received the ‘Grand Cross’ prize from the academy of Milan in 1983; the ‘Businessmen of the year award’ from the National Productivity Centre in 1998; and the Environment Award from the Ministry of Environmental Affairs in 1999. Currently in charge of the Koleksiyon Furniture Design Industry, which has grown to include a factory producing home and office furniture in Tekirdag and two showrooms in Istanbul and Ankara.
