An exceptional registration rate behind the nextHeimtextil fair is driving the decisive preparation phase forwards. Between 10 and 13 January 2017, the international trade fair for home and contract textiles will be showcasing the world’s broadest selection of textile products, trends and innovations in Frankfurt am Main. “Our trade fair is continuing to experience very positive growth across all product groups. The 2017 Heimtextil fair will once again be able to expand the product range and further boost the trade fair’s appeal to domestic and international buyers,” Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt, says. This will see the Heimtextil fair continue the upward trend of recent years. Since 2010, the number of exhibitors has risen continually (with 2,864 exhibitors in January 2016).

The significant growth in exhibitor numbers is a clear indication that Heimtextil remains the most important platform in its sector in 2016 and that the themes are very much in line with the sector's current preoccupations. The range of products covers the world's largest international selection of contract textiles for the hotel trade, architectural use and interior design. As the world's largest trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil in Frankfurt (12 to 15 January 2016) has a special function as a trend barometer and a responsibility for setting standards of design and innovative functionality for quality textiles. Every year, a 'Trend Table' of international experts identifies the major general trends and provides furnishings experts, designers, product developers and creative teams with valuable pointers and reliable information on those trends. The latter are staged in the 'Theme Park'. After its very successful launch last year, the 'Theme Park' is to be continued at Heimtextil 2016. The section is also to move to Hall 6.0, where it will be staged in a generous space all of its own.

With an increase of around three percent in the number of visitors, Heimtextil 2015 in Frankfurt am Main once again ensured the new furnishing season got off to a successful start. A good 68,000 trade visitors were very pleased with the high quality of the products and designs, and kept exhibitors busy throughout the fair. The 2,759 exhibitors from 68 countries were no less delighted with the orders placed by buyers. The further increase in the level of internationality – from 87 to 88 percent on the exhibitor side and from 67 to 68 percent on the visitor side – also ranks as a success factor for the trade fair.
