True to our company slogan- Light for the future- betec has been a manufacturer of innovative light for 40 years. Ist founder, chairman and chief designer Horst Lettenmayer together with Board Member Julia-Alina Lettenmayer, is guiding the company into a new age of lighting. The early forward-looking decision not to follow the universal trend, but instead to respond to the individual demand of design and technology was the basis for the success that continues to this day. The "Clarus" painting light was a revolution in lighting in minimalist guise. Already a cult product, distinguished by being given the German Kunstschutz (protection of art), as well as other renowed international design awards. Further developments focused on lighting for living space, office and bathroom, as well as lighting designed for architects. Following in their wake with "Light for the future" were lights to illuminate all these areas. Our efforts to carry on producing lights as individual hand-crafted pieces, to take the customer´s personal wishes into account, and to use carefully selected materials, is contrary to the current trend that of quantity before quality. The components of all our picture lighting models are manufactured in our factory using the traditional metalworking craft. Craftsmanship permeates all steps in the process- from the selection of raw materials through processing to surface finishing. Galvanic processes for medical instruments are conducted in the factory; all paints are hand applied and cured at 180°C. Timeless design should be also timeless in its durability.
