Two bent sections side by side form the seat and back of Shanghay Chair, which was designed for Expo in Shanghai in 2012 by the fashion firm Wood Wood, the design trio Kibisi and HAY. The result is a playful construction that is more flexible than it may appear at first glance. For the exhibition Shanghay’s four bent components were painted in different colours to highlight the clever and playful concept with sections that can be switched around to create a new expression.
