Vorwerk Carpets has reinterpreted Nandou, the exclusive woven carpet that meets the highest standards in the business-site contract sector, and developed it even further. The new architect’s card for Nandou now includes 5 product variations –Nandou uni (monochrome), Nandou prestige design, Nandou design 2-frame, Nandou design 3-frame, and Nandou design gloss in a total of 46 colours. They offer architects and planners a wide variety of options for design.

The current trend for interiors in the direction of sophisticated reservedness finds a fitting equivalent in the new Nandou: The aesthetics of this robust loop weave with the striking horizontal structure and typically rhythmic colour accents captivates through puristic elegance. Spatial design patterns being used for the first time on high-quality, durable brand-name yarns accompanied by innovative technical colourings emphasize a multifaceted modernness. Due to the extremely dense and reinforced fabric appearance, Nandou obtains a special character that completely fulfils the high standards set for a textile floor covering subject to extreme usage. Nandou is a product that has been marketed successfully for 20 years and continues to be constantly developed further in innovative ways. For instance, a new interpretation of classic designs is taking place on this card: By using a new design language, it shows how the product has evolved.

Time and again Vorwerk uses advanced, innovative weaving techniques to set pioneering accents. This is true for the premiére of Nandou prestige design, too: Through the Jacquard weave this product variation interprets Nandou in a completely new way. For the first time, non-aligned design patterns can be enacted on the previously typically horizontal-ribbed Nandou structure. This allows different types of dots that set themselves apart in terms of their colours and glossy threads to be woven to form a spatial look. The graphic look for the Nandou designs that had prevailed before is changed fully as a result.

The new architect’s card for Nandou equally captivates due to an out-of-theordinary photo presentation: The stage is set for the carpets by shooting them as if in the curved wall transition at a photo studio. Geometric objects painted in the colour of the respective carpet are placed on them. This way the multifacetedness of the spaciously designed carpet pattern is depicted optimally for architects and planners, a factor that would not be perceivable on the otherwise customary hand-held samples. The strong colour contrasts within the picture motifs underscore the sense of modernness and wideranging options offered by Nandou.

The demanding and high-quality method of processing the finest yarns makes woven wall-to-wall carpets like Nandou not only an expression of exclusive style: It makes them extremely durable, and thus long-lasting – an indispensable factor, especially in the business-site sector. Numerous seals of approval confirm Nandou’s high quality, for example GUT (“Carpets tested for a better living environment”), CRI (Green Label Plus) or TÜV Nord (“Suitable for those suffering from allergies”), a German technical certification association.

The new Nandou card is a collection of proposals for architects and planners. It displays the product’s diverse range of technical and chromatic possibilities, and is intended to be understood as a gathering of ideas. Nandou is available in special-order production as broadloom from the roll in every colour and design shown starting at a minimum of 100 m², but can also be ordered in individualised colours and designs.
