Dining tables from more, Designed by Gil Coste

Product description

The designs for our Lax Collection were created by Gil Coste, inspired by the construction of the Barcelona Pavilion in 1929. They feature references to familiar shapes, combined with new surfaces and a mix of materials that embraces Danish and Italian styles. The LAX table is made of a 28 mm solid-wood tabletop, that is available in smoked oak (as pictured) and many more wood types and shades. The wood planks are extra wide. The steel frame is available in tobacco-brown, black or anthracite powder-coated or stainless steel brushed. Extension system on request.

Concept

1957. The Hotel Nacional de Cuba. An entire room filled with the scent of hand-rolled Havana cigars. Shining amber rum. On hotel letterhead, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe drafts the world-famous blueprint for the headquarters of the Bacardi distillery. Capturing this iconographic moment is the starting point for our LAX collection. A declaration of love to Cuba, to sophisticated hotel amenities of the 50s and the unwavering search for clarity and spatial freedom.
