Grethe Meyer is one of Denmark’s most distinguished representatives of the Danish industrial design. She was a designing architect and award winning pioneer woman, in particular known for her work for Royal Copenhagen and Georg Jensen, and today several of her products are exhibited in design museums around the world.
Her fine sense of the simple and sleek idiom has turned many of her designs into classics, and thanks to her ability to also design in a timeless manner - we now have the pleasure, and honor, of putting Grethe Meyer Lamp into production for the first time.
The fine and plump top and the strong cut in the bottom gives the lamp a good balance between the masculine and the feminine. Hang one large lamp over the dining table, 2 small ones in the kitchen or several lamps together as a graphic installation.
The copper lamp is made wholly of quality copper, with a lacquered outer layer that protects from patina and grime, and thereby cuts down on polishing. The colored lamps are solid stainless steel with a powder-coated lacquer layer.
