One day. Over 30 of the finest minds in smart building.

The Smart Building Conference at ISE 2018 in Amsterdam offers unparalleled insights into the rapidly developing dynamic between digital technologies, the built environment and urban space. A host of leading-edge thinkers and practitioners, experts in the fields of IT, AV, architecture and beyond, are set to provide an internationally drawn, professional audience with diverse, challenging and inspiring perspectives on the smart landscape – via not only the latest technologies, but also business strategies, market research and real-life case studies.

With increasing talk of the role big data will play in shaping our cities – “allowing us to make real what urbanists in the past could only dream of,” as architect and thought-leader Carlo Ratti puts it – delegates should ready themselves for a big download of razor-sharp thinking. Ratti (who’ll be delivering the opening address at ISE 2018) along with representatives from such organisations as Philips, OSRAM and OVG Real Estate, will explore the impact the indomitable expansion of digital networking is having on what we build and how we build – both the challenges and the opportunities.

Further speakers will include founding partner of PLP Architecture Ron Bakker, whose projects include The Edge for Deloitte – regarded as the world’s most sustainable office building – and “Mr Building Automation Systems” himself, trainer and author Phil Zito.

This is twin-track conference: one strand will focus on residential, the other on commercial, with the latter addressing, among other developments, smart-workplace technology that supports and drives increased levels of collaboration, and, in doing so, helps grow businesses.

The future is already here. Are you ready for it?
