Our selection of new products displayed at the Stockholm Furniture Fair

Stockholm is increasingly establishing itself as the design capital of the North. With almost 40,000 visitors this year the Stockholm furniture fair and the Northern Light exhibition were more successful than ever. With Denmark, Norway and Finland as the main countries which are represented in addition to the host nation, Scandinavia continues to be the principal source of exhibitors and trade visitors to Stockholm, but this year has also seen considerable growth in visitors from other countries.

What makes Stockholm especially attractive for many people is the manageable size of the exhibition, a professionally organised accompanying programme and the relaxed atmosphere of this charming city.
The Greenhouse – designed for the second time by the Swedish duo TAF – has become a platform of impressive quality for young international designers and design schools.
This year there was also an increase in the number of events held in the centre of Stockholm, including interestingly presented exhibitions and receptions where the drinks flowed freely – a trend which receives considerable support from the fair.
Unfortunately there isn't room for more than one. Many have long expected something like this to happen, and now it has come to pass. The Copenhagen fair has not been able to match the success of Stockholm and has, for the first time in its existence, been postponed for an indefinite period of time because of a lack of companies registering to participate.

As always we have collected a selection of the most interesting new developments from Stockholm for you in our special topic.
