Longhi’s video marking its 60th anniversary highlights the brand’s most appealing qualities

The long-established Longhi was founded 60 years ago in Meda, northern Italy, where all its designs are still made. Its main focus – then as now – is furniture created for contemporary, flexible living. Furniture aside, the brand manufactures sliding room dividers and internal doors.

To mark its momentous anniversary, Longhi created a video to showcase its key strengths, filmed at the company’s stand at the Salone del Mobile.

Arranged as a living room – an inviting, sociable and glamorous space – was furnished with its new collections. Luxuriously large rugs, glass wall sconces, brass shelving units and sideboards all contributed to its sophisticated, urban decor.

During the Salone, Mr Andrea Longhi made a speech about Longhi’s birthday and about the brand’s fruitful collaborations with designers: ‘This year we celebrate 60 years of market presence. To emphasise the company’s commitment to the field of international interior design over decades and generations, we chose to collaborate with Ben Wu, one of China’s top 10 architects.’

Mr Longhi also pointed out that the company’s strengths are its attention to beautifully crafted finishes, its highly considered selection of materials and an ability to customise its products to meet very specific requirements.

Overall, the video brings to life a key characteristic of the company’s furniture – its fusion of functionality and comfort. While rich in subtle textures and finishes, a home furnished with Longhi’s sofas, sideboards and coffee tables feels spacious, uncluttered and elegant.
