The aesthetics, lightness and cleverness of WOGG’s furniture are the common thread that runs throughout the entire range to create an unobtrusive ambience with a distinctive character.

Show somebody who knows Wogg hundreds of pieces of furniture and they’ll be able to pick out the company’s products straight away,” says Mark Werder, head of division at Wogg. A look at the product range reveals a diverse spectrum of furniture. But there’s one thing all the individual pieces have in common: a delicate, clear design language with striking details. Or as Werder puts it: “It’s the unique combination of aesthetics, lightness and cleverness in our products that sets Wogg apart.” And it’s true: the furniture cannot be compared with other products and has a highly distinctive character that undoubtedly plays no small part in the company’s success. Wogg also has a keen instinct for joining forces with the right designers at the right time. There are few influential Swiss designers who do not feature in Wogg’s directory. Famous names like Hans Eichenberger, Gerd Lange or Trix and Robert Haussmann were among those whose creative designs helped the company make its mark back in the early days. Today those designs are regarded as classics. And in recent years, projects with Jörg Boner, Atelier Oï, Alfredo Häberli or Christophe Marchand have continued to shape Wogg’s profile.

The furniture is produced and manufactured in Baden – largely from Swiss materials. Sustainability expresses itself in various facets such as the compact design language, which means fewer materials are used, and some of Wogg’s furniture has been on the market for 30 years. Mark Werder: “Once you own a piece of Wogg furniture, you don’t want to part with it.” As a result, it is not uncommon for a piece of furniture to be handed down from one generation to the next. Because when all’s said and done, a timeless design never goes out of fashion, but adapts to its owners’ living space instead. That is what Wogg wants to pass on to its customers: “A piece of Wogg furniture is actually very simple in itself; it only acquires emotional significance with the user and what he makes of it,” says Werder of the company’s philosophy. “Our furniture is very unobtrusive in terms of what it expresses, that’s why there’s actually no interior situation that Wogg doesn’t blend in with.” Or to put it another way: in a world where everything seems to scream out for attention, the quietness of a Wogg product is all the more appealing.

WOGG: The Swiss company has been developing timeless, top-quality furniture design since 1983. Originally founded by cousins Willi and Otto Gläser, GLAESER WOGG AG produces its furniture at its own workshops in Baden. Right from the start, the WOGG brand has cultivated a distinctive look that ensures recognition well beyond national boundaries.
