SUSTAINABILITY BY DESIGN

The construction industry is one of the biggest waste producers on our planet. This has to change. We start with a product that is 100% recyclable. We are achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for responsible consumption and production.

At ECHOJAZZ, we combine sustainability with the simplicity of good design. In order not to burden our nature, only the cycle comes into question for us.

The ECHOJAZZ material cycle consists of four steps which only together complete the cycle: Recycled PET as raw material, recyclable products, zero waste and certified sustainability.

RECYCLING PET

Thanks to ECHOJAZZ, disposable plastic becomes a high-quality end product for the design industry. For our products, we use 100% PET with a share of at least 50% recycled PET. On one square metre of EchoBoard® 24mm, this corresponds to over 70 PET bottles. Compared to the production of virgin PET, the use of recycled PET saves up to 84% of the energy. Individual products are supplemented with recycled and recyclable steel.

ZERO WASTE

100% Zero Waste: We generate raw material for new products from used products and the residual material created during production. The EchoTower® was developed for this purpose, a monolith that can be used in rooms such as conference rooms. Here in Kriens, used ECHOJAZZ products are chopped into flakes together with production offcuts. When filled with this material, the acoustic performance of the EchoTower® is increased and the material cycle is closed with zero waste.

MATERIAL-CYCLE

Only if the product is reused after its useful life can the material cycle be closed. ECHOJAZZ is the only provider to offer a take-back programme for all products. Thus, all products can be returned for recycling at the end of their life cycle. The EchoBoard® and the assembly kits can be easily separated from each other for further processing according to type.

CERTIFIED

EchoBoard® and EchoCoustic® meet the highest international standards for sustainable construction. They have been certified multiple times. The Cradle to Cradle certification of our materials supports LEED certification with valuable additional credits.
