All you need is Luv: Duravit Luv

A bowl filled with water on a table. Such a return to the original and more simple way of washing was the initial idea behind the successful Luv series by German design bathroom manufacturer Duravit. The renowned Danish designer Cecilie Manz is responsible for the design, which lends a touch of Nordic flair to bathrooms that utilise the collection.

Luv is captivating due to, on the one hand, its soft, oval shape and precise edges, and on the other, its special feel – glossy on the inside and matt on the outside. The purist series is limited to subdued, nature-inspired colour tones that reflect a reserved, Scandinavian style.

Duravit has now added a new, warm shade – Almond Satin Matt – to the successful series, which once again reflects themes of nature. Additional sizes and variations are also available for top basins, furniture and mirrors.

This opens up a wide range of possibilities for the individual design of the bathroom. For example, different effects can be achieved in combination with the console plates, optionally in quartz stone or walnut. The high-quality, solid material gives the bathroom furniture elegance and value. The modern interpretation of the console tables in six different colours, ranging from Nordic White to Stone Grey and Night Blue, offers additional design freedom.

Matching mirrors with integrated, touchless control panel for mirror heating and, more recently, coloured light changes, complement the wash area. Finally, the scene is completed by the matching bathtub, which picks up on the design language of the Luv wash bowl.

The original idea for Luv – a bowl on the table – seems simple, but it is often the supposedly simple designs that are the hardest to implement, as they require precision down to the very smallest detail. Something which, in the case of Luv, has been achieved.
