As one of the world’s first urban resorts dedicated to « 21st century style » living, the Murano

Resort mixes a subtle blend of the luxurious and the laidback, of the classical with the modern.
After two years of reflection, over 500 plans, 15 months of construction and an unbroken collaboration between designers, decorators, craftsmen and future operators, the 4500 m2 of the Murano Resort’s were designed to promote free circulation from one space to another whilst preserving the intimacy and uniqueness of each by means of : minimal partitions on the ground floor, sheer drapery and muffled lighting, modular suites and a central lounge with a fireplace.

The resort was baptised the Murano as an homage to the sister island of Venice,
jewel of the Lagoon and the Grand Canal. Each piece of decorative glass in the resort, including its Venetian mirrors, teardrops, contemporary sculptures and massive chandeliers, are custom made exclusively by some of the island’s most prized craftsmen.

The Murano is located on the edge of the Marais, at the halfway point of the Rue Charlot and the Rue Vielle du Temple. The hotel’s «High Marais» architecture, spared the upheavals of Haussmann’s urban planning, retains the cachet and charm of old Paris.
The hotel’s facade is a unique blend of the classic and the modern. The upper floors have preserved the standard white building look of the 19th century; whilst the ground floor has been coated with steel and ultra-thick frosted glass windows.

The building’s entryway opens onto a white marble gallery cloaked in sheer organdie draperies. The iridescent reflections of the contemporary blown glass sculptures bordering this passageway multiply
its playful bursts of light.

The resort’s 52 rooms, suites and common areas reflect numerous lifestyles. The central atrium has a fireplace and large Chesterfield sofa, there are two bars, a restaurant and an interior terrace, all of which combine to offer unparalleled moments of comfort and privilege.

With its signature glass paned roof, the central lounge is rightfully known as the heart of the resort.
It is built around a striking six-metre long fireplace encrusted into the wall, whose flames emit an interplay of light and shadow which gently caress a bed of white pebbles.
An immense white Chesterfield sofa is nestled directly opposite, offering a quiet, comfortable spot to leisurely kick back or lose oneself in contemplation. An ambiance that is at once both laidback and chic.

Marrying comfort with undiluted aesthetics, the Murano’s rooms have been designed for dreaming as much as living. The hotel boasts 43 rooms and 8 suites.
Minimalist and refined, unfettered and comfortable, every room reflects the Murano’s white-based colour scheme via matte-finished walls, layered draperies and over-sized pillows. The wilfully immaculate and ever-surprising decor also includes glowing cubes, illuminated wall niches, contemporary furniture and pop-art graphical objects. Colour scheme reflect a playful blend of candy pink, lilac, sky blue, solar yellow, emerald green, turquoise and more. At the Murano, colours can be made to match your mood: every room and suite comes equipped with an electronic system for modulating lighting levels and tones.
The bathrooms, written in black and white, reflect a knowing play of contrasting materials. With splashes of matted slate spilling over shiny chrome. The natural imperfections of pebbles form a perfect union with the sharp lines of the bathroom furniture, a marriage of light and dark is reflected in the transparency of the mirrors. Such a harmonious blend never fails to elicit feelings of both purity and wakefulness.
The Murano Resort Paris is a member of the Design Hotels™ network.
