The project presents the renovation of an apartment located in the ‘Sant Antoni’ a neighborhood of Barcelona. The apartment is a ground floor with only one facade with a light entrance, the rest of the apartment is dark and with poorly ventilated spaces.
The entire project revolves around the concept that the apartment is able to enjoy the lighting and ventilation of the main facade.

Light funnel
The distribution design was made in the form of a funnel. The area next to the main facade we place a large room with a kitchen, dining room and living room that collects all the natural light. The rest of the rooms set back gradually allowing the light to filter to the end of the apartment.

The rooms and the bathroom have different glasses to allow the entry of natural lighting with different degrees of privacy. In addition, a large sliding door closes the funnel to be able to divide the apartment in two, depending on the needs of each moment.

The herringbone pavement is a reflection of our intention to mark the direction of the light, as if they were waves moving towards the shore.
