(BA First class honours) Industrial Design and Technology from Loughborough University

Recent background

After graduating from Loughborough University in the summer of 2006 I made the decision to develop my own range of interior objects. This decision was kick started by a successful New designers show. Where I exhibited a range of interactive ambient lights entitled puff out lights, (see description on products document) which managed to capture the imagination of trade, press and visitors a like, I was also lucky enough to be short listed in two awards and win a third.

Following New designers I was invited to exhibit at a further two exhibitions, 100% East after being short listed in their candlelight competition and the hub class of 2006, an exhibition showcasing the ‘best’ graduating designers of the year.

From September 2006 to present I have been working for a large UK design consultancy to gain experience, and broaden my knowledge over a range of sectors from vehicular to interiors and consumer products. In addition this has allowed me the time and finances to develop a range of interior products in lighting, ceramics and accessories.
