Sculptural folded stairs in the Munich Lenbach Gärten

The elegant sculptural staircase in curved design in the Munich Lenbach Gärten got a distinctive character by the unusual railing solution. The box-type stringers of the design stairs taper towards the top. They are parapet-high at the stairs foot and tread conceiling at the head of the stairs. A railing featuring palings and evenly rising heights runs diagonally to the stringers. The curved and smooth soffit cladding has structurally supporting capacities and improves the vibration properties. On the upper floor, the vertical fill bars continue in a perfectly shaped design to form a straight ceiling balustrade. The rectangular wooden handrail harmoniously completes the exclusive stair sculpture.
