VG&P Trestles
Architonic ID: 1318357
Anno di Lancio: 2014
The minimal design of the VG&P Trestles is visually lighter in appearance than traditional trestles.
Concetto
The simple, sturdy structure moves away from a typical four legged a-frame trestle. The design is both discreet and efficient, with a visual emphasis on the legs, and a lighter appearance than a more standard trestle.
The VG&P Trestles are made from powder-coated sheet steel and flat-oval tube. The four laser-cut parts slot together with precision and hidden welds bond them.

André Klauser and Ed Carpenter are two young, London-based designers, each with a series of impressive works under his belt. Together Klauser & Carpenter produce collaborative works as a design partnership although each also pursues individual projects. Carpenter originally trained as a sculptor at Kingston University before completing an MA in Design Products at the Royal College of Arts. Perhaps Carpenter’s most prolific work to date has been the ‘Pigeon Light’ produced for Thorsten Van Elten. Klauser studied Design at FH Münster before moving to London to work in Jasper Morrison’s studio, Office For Design. Klauser established his own studio in 2002 and has since worked on independent projects (such as the Mandi Chair, originally produced for Promosedia, now manufactured by Thorsten Van Elten). Klauser & Carpenter’s clients include Modus, Authentics, Thorsten Van Elten and Elmar Flötotto.
