Quo is a light stacking all-round chair with an extraordinary distinctive design. Quo impresses with a very special 180° twist of the back. This absolutely innovative shape doesn’t affect the comfort but offers a very pleasant seating. The comfort is also emphasized by the flexible and yielding back and by the softness of the foamed shell made in soft touch light.
The shell of the modern stacking chair Quo is produced in soft touch light, a low density polyurethane. The inside steel frame gets fit in the mould and then polyurethane foam which originally is in a liquid form, is poured in and through a heating process, gets hardened. The material soft touch light is dyed in mass during the liquid phase and is painted after the production. The skin injected foam is waterproof, hygienic and soft. The tear resistant surface is characterized by an high abrasion resistance, an extremely pleasant touch, high elasticity, low thermal conductivity and maximum comfort.

Martin Ballendat has enjoyed international success as a designer for decades. Born in Bochum, Germany, in 1958, he completed his studies in design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. With his studio, Design Ballendat, he works for numerous prestigious brands. After three years of employment with office furniture manufacturer Sedus, he took over as head of design and product development at Wiesner Hager in Austria. He opened his own studio in Upper Austria in 1995, which was soon to be followed by a second one in Germany. Martin Ballendat has been awarded over 100 design prizes and awards. He has been working as a lecturer and guest professor at design schools for more than 15 years.
