Pond 8110

There's something special about Scandinavian simplicity, isn't there? Functional, beautiful and refreshingly timeless. Based on traditional craftsmanship with a modern twist, Pond is the result of the innovative yet methodical work of designer Inger Högberg. Inger began work by using a Dobby loom to try out various compositions and colour combinations. The final article was then produced using a 3 meter wide loom. The textile is made from two different yarns in a traditional yet contemporary and exciting design. Additionally, different colours were used for warp and weft.

Pond works especially well as a decorative curtain in large, contemporary buildings with lots of natural light. This is due to the light-induced shimmer of the curtain, which produces a small change in colour appearance depending on the weather and time of day.

Pond is available in 18 different shades, spanning from light colours inspired by nature to darker, more powerful shades. The curtain has a delicate flow which looks lovely paired with one of Svensson's heavier, more dense textiles, such as Karat.
