Crossroads
By focusing on the graphical details of the Turati Station in the center of Milan, Interchange bench system pays a tribute to its visionary style. Leaning on a slender metal framework, the wooden surface of the bench is structured as a reference to the yellow grating adorning the ceilings of the stop.

Travellers often meetup at junctions to share ideas, Luca Nichetto’s incredibly versatile Interchange helps people do just that.
The bench base is inspired by the architectural forms of Turati station’s lattice ceiling. A highly adaptable solution, it combines geometry, materials and functions.
The solid ash wood lattice is available in two sizes and serves as a support for a range of configurations. Different elements can be fixed through the holes with a simple fastening system. This way, the bench can incorporate comfortable seats, tables with different shapes and finishes, or dividing panels.
The tables can be fitted to the outer edge of the bench or even poke out slightly. The seats, on the other hand, must always be placed entirely with the perimeter of the lattice.
The personalisation options are completed with eight stain colours for the bench, nineteen stain colours for the ash tables, four high gloss lacquer colours for MDF tables, and endless fabric, vinyl and leather options for the seat cushions.
The discreet legs are made of steel in a textured black epoxy finish.
Interchange’s versatility means that it is ideal for both domestic spaces or contract projects.

Di recente nominato Design Curator di Lodes, nel 2006 Luca Nichetto ha fondato a Venezia uno studio di design multidisciplinare dedicato a design industriale, progettazione di prodotto e consulenze. Fin dall’inizio lo studio ha avviato collaborazioni con numerosi brand e organizzazioni, espandendo rapidamente il suo raggio d’azione ben oltre i confini di Venezia e dell’Italia. Cinque anni più tardi, nel 2011, Nichetto ha aperto un secondo studio a Stoccolma, Svezia. Questo studio nasce in risposta ad un numero sempre maggiore di richieste di collaborazione da parte di aziende internazionali, ampliando il lavoro dello studio anche al di fuori del suo iniziale focus sulla progettazione di oggetti di design. Nichetto Studio si è ulteriormente ampliato spingendosi in settori affini quali l’interior design e l’architettura. Lo Studio lavora con una varietà di marchi e clienti provenienti da tutto il mondo e la sua esperienza e professionalità sono oggi riconosciute e apprezzate nelle molteplici discipline del mondo del design.
