To make these, the oak wood is shaved off the tree trunk in ultra-thin strips using extremely sharp blades. The technique of using firm, short cutting strokes creates this extraordinary surface relief, which has the appearance of freshly sawn lumber or waves in a sandy beach. This gives the wood a three-dimensional look and special haptic feel. Moisture and rings should always be removed immediately. Occasionally this piece should be treated with high-quality furniture polish. Please make sure to protect the steel sheeting from moisture left by cleaning with too much water or a very humid environment. The Lambert furniture oil is suitable for polishing both the steel shelves and the wood.
