Mash features an airy, irregular Jacquard construction outlined by multidimensional shifts. Woven with fine space-dyed yarns, it transforms the hand-drawn character of Inga Sempé’s artworks into subtle materiality, evoking a sense of drawing with crayons. As Mash drapes, it reveals outspoken moiré effects and colourful hues that dissolve into soft non-colours. Simultaneously, the woven elements in its ground ebb and flow, creating various shades of transparency. The curtain’s texture adds further depth to its rich colour expression. Mash juxtaposes neutral and bolder hues, which recall Inga Sempé’s sketches.
