Design in a historical context for trainstaitions of RhB
Designed for the trainstations of the legendary "Rhätische Bahn RhB", a Unesco World Culture Heritage. The RhB with the rail line between Alubula- and Bernina belongs to the world famost narrow-gauge railway of the world.
The ergonomic design of seating areas and backrests offer high seating comfort, even at low temperatures, without pressure marks. The object-compatible design and the special material selection of the seat slats, aluminium profiles with hard rubber coating (polyvinyl chloride, free of DEHP/Cd/Pb), result in weatherproof city furniture: lightfast and maintenance-free thanks to high degree of self-cleaning.

Hannes Wettstein (1958-2008) was a renowned Swiss designer. After his death his architecture and design agency was continued by some of his colleagues under the name Studio Hannes Wettstein. The driving force within the studio was Wettstein’s former business partner Stephan Hürlemann. Between 2011 and 2014 the designer produced diverse projects together with designer Simon Husslein. Over the years Hürlemann established himself as the creative head of the company, which has been called Hürlemann since 2016.
