Joist Round

The Joist table / dining-room table is a real archetype due to its round shape. The central support column provides lots of legroom and freedom of movement. The round shape makes Joist a table for socializing: everyone can see each other. The central support-column is made of cast aluminum. In creating the unique small ribs of the support-column, the artisan foundry has definitely crossed the boundaries of what is possible in sand casting. The aluminum used in this table is supplied by a Dutch partner. Joist is designed based on the ‘design to disassembly’ principle: The table can be entirely dissembled so that the elements can be recycled. In the course of time, it is also possible to refurbish the massive wooden blade and the support-column.
