Concetto
L’antico gioco dell’hula hoop viene abbandonato su una struttura in metallo, e come per magia si trasforma nello schienale di Circle, una poltrona contemporanea. Giusto per caso. O giusto per gioco. Circle è così come la si vede, con i suoi cerchi concentrici che sembrano staccarsi da un momento all’altro, eppure così robusti da potere contenere qualsiasi tipologia di corporatura senza la minima esitazione.

Was born in Ancona in 1960. While still studying architecture at university, in 1984 he established his own business under the name "Studio Progex", working in design and communications; he also acquired experience as an interior designer. Most of his work as a designer was oriented towards the furniture, lighting and bathroom furnishing sector. He worked as consultant and Art Director for a number of Italian companies. In 1989 a system of occasional tables won him a nomination for the "Design Italiano" award. In 1991 he was chosen by "Modo" magazine as a promising young designer. In 1991 one of his ideas was placed in the top 30 in the "Gente Money" magazine "Creare un'impresa" competition. In 1992 he won a prize from "Millionaire" magazine for the best idea from a reader. In 1993/94 he won first prize in the "Pesaro design & industria" competition with a container for separate waste collection (for use in the home). In 1997 he won a prize in the "food preparation" category of the "Macef Autunno ’97" competition with the "Cremafacile" product for Biesse Casalinghi. In 1997 he established a company producing small ornaments and gifts. In 2002 the "Alalunga" laundry rack produced by Emporium was selected for the "BIO 18" Biennial Design Exhibition, held in Ljubljana.
