On Wednesday, 21.01.2015 there will be lectures about “Temporary – Flexible materials” at Forums Program (Forum A4, Architect and Industry in Dialog) with participation of Network-Members:

After “Textile Architecture — Membranes for XXL building” held by Katja Bernert, Mehler Texnologies at 11p.m. the lecture “Innovative Textures & Clamping Systems” will be held at 12 p.m. by Dr. Lars Meeß-Olsohn of leichtbaukunst, Johannes Fitz, aeronautec GmbH and Thomas Krieger, Carl Stahl GmbH.

In the past re-usable and recyclable materials included, for example, wood and mud (huts built by nomadic peoples) and even snow (the igloos of the Inuit). Today, temporary structures are often made of textile, metal or wood, but above all synthetic materials. Synthetics are enjoying a positive revival in the form of exhibition or concert pavilions and sports halls.

At 2:30 p.m. the model of the New Konya Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey will be unveiled in our Pavilion LOOPs2.0. This state of the art stadium has a capacity of more than 42.000 visitors and the cladding was made by textiles of Mehler Texnologies.

We invite you to visit us in January in Munich!
