The central elements of the exhibition's strategic range of themes are Italian ceramics between nature and human creativity, multi-functional added value, aesthetic dimensions which make Italy the undisputed market leader worldwide, the integration of young designers with fresh interpretations and environmental sustainability. These aspects are presented on a 300 square metre exhibition area, which has been entitled "Giardino all’italiana". A diversity of product types and ceramics installations have been created to represent the entire industry: pergolas, walkways, lamps, a labyrinth with a surface area containing in part real grass, which is a perfect match to the material structure of the ceramic tiles themselves, as well as a world consisting of animal figures in which the domain of plants is symbolised by vases and flower containers for urban landscaping. The garden takes advantage of various initiatives to present itself anew every single day as a living element, ranging from having a meal together and moments of play to a location for pets.

Organised by a management which provides the exhibition with a coherent image, eight Italian manufacturers will present ceramics productions which interpret the project of Italian lifestyle as seen by the ideas generated by young designers.
Each installation can be identified by the unmistakable character and the skill of the designer. At the same time they also represent a more comprehensive concept of Italian planning traditions, which are characterised above all by flexibility, multi-functionality, extraordinary structural and technical performance features as well as the colour aspects of design.

In the course of the event the international public, exhibitors, planners, architects, interior designers and journalists will have the opportunity to test the differentiating features of Italian ceramics with their own eyes. These features are the combination of nature and human creativity, the quintessence of 'made in Italy' in the interests of providing ever new stimulus for planners, receptiveness to environmental aspects and sustainability, and finally support for young designers who create new things using the strong expressive force of the material, which is visually appealing and is at the same time based on an intelligent, active element.
