Design Shenzhen is a highly curated showcase for over 200 brands, from established international design giants to young, emerging and undiscovered local design talent.

International brands

Key international brands, from Dutch conceptualists to high-end bathroom specialists, architectural materialists to fine ceramicists, are here to build their profile and business and include Moooi, Ligne Roset, Caesarstone, Duravit, Villeroy & Boch, Occhio, Casa Jolie, Michael Young, Lladró, Roche Bobois, Sorema, Takumikou, Gessi, Abet Laminati, NORR11, Bolia, 101 Copenhagen and Aritco – all making their debut at Design Shenzhen.

One of the highlights as far as the exhibition itself comes from the dealer Finest who will be representing over 20 leading international brands including Teknion, Montana, Vondom, Arper, Flokk, Profim, Offecct, &Tradition, Hay, 2tec2, Fenix, Slamp, BD Barcelona, Magis, Muuto, VERPAN, OKAMURA, Waldmann, Normann Copenhagen, KOMFLEX and HÅG.

The cutting-edge Dutch design brand Moooi sees the exhibition as key to generating new business. ‘China is a huge focus for Moooi with many upcoming plans and in particular in Shenzhen, which has become an increasingly important market,’ says Emma Plant, Moooi’s business development manager.

Local talent

Ligne Roset already has 34 stores in China but it too sees Design Shenzhen as a key tool for driving expansion. ‘Ligne Roset is expanding its network in China rapidly,’ says the brand’s export director, Bernard Vinson. ‘In the southern provinces of China, we have registered the same high growth for the brand as in the Shanghai and Beijing markets. That is why we are pleased to participate in Design Shenzhen, to reinforce our fame and support our local showroom.’

Also in attendance will be Danish brand Montana (top) and MOOOMA Space Design studio offering its unique take on art, space and philosophy for living (bottom)
