Tailor-made programme for interior designers, architects and hospitality experts at the world's largest trade fair for home textiles

Acoustics, fire protection, shading, sustainability, lifestyle trends and individual accents. The technical characteristics and design flexibility of textile materials open up a wide range of possibilities for the contract sector. It is not for nothing that Heimtextil in Frankfurt (7-10 January 2020) is one of the top locations for interior designers, architects and hospitality experts. The world's largest trade fair for home and contract textiles welcomes over 3000 exhibitors every year who present their innovations, products and materials for the textile furnishing market at the start of the season. Around 500 of these companies offer targeted solutions for the contract sector. With the title Interior.Architecture.Hospitality by Heimtextil, the trade fair will complement this specialised product range with a programme packed full of high-quality content that will feature a number of innovations in 2020.

NEW: Interior.Architecture.Hospitality LIBRARY
The Interior.Architecture.Hospitality LIBRARY in hall 4.2 presents a curated selection of exhibitor products with functional properties. This textile library is thus an effective work tool for anyone who is involved in design in the contract sector. Interested parties and experts can quickly and easily obtain a good overview of the product range based on five relevant criteria: flame-retardant, sound-insulating, abrasion-resistant, water-repellent and suitable for allergy sufferers. Convenient: information on the exhibits guides people directly to the relevant exhibitor at the trade fair.

Interior.Architecture.Hospitality EXPO
The Interior.Architecture.Hospitality EXPO, also in hall 4.2, is the exclusive platform within Heimtextil for interior designers, architects and experts from the hospitality sector. The major special exhibition presents selected exhibitors with their solutions for textile contract furnishing, from textiles with acoustic function or special abrasion properties to sun protection and innovative wall coverings.

Interior.Architecture.Hospitality LECTURES
“Diversity” is the theme of this year's Interior.Architecture.Hospitality LECTURES. By holding first-class lectures, internationally renowned architects, interior designers and hotel experts present their projects and discuss issues relevant to building culture, interior design and design. The LECTURES are curated and organised by renowned partners, including AIT-Dialog and hotelforum.

Interior.Architecture.Hospitality TOURS
New perspective: during the trade fair tours, internationally renowned interior designers and architects guide participants to their individual textile highlights, innovations and solutions from the contract sector. Responsible for the various themed tours are AIT-Dialog, bdia, World-Architects and AHGZ/hoteldesign.

NEW: Interior.Architecture.Hospitality DIRECTORY
New name, proven concept: the Directory, previously the Contract Guide, lists the approx. 500 exhibitors at Heimtextil who offer contract textiles and furnishing solutions, including participants of the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality EXPO. This free index is available at the trade fair and can also be consulted digitally via the online exhibitor search function. Convenient: all listed companies have an identifier on their stand at the fair and are therefore easily recognisable.

Interior.Architecture.Hospitality TALENTS
Welcome to the next generation! On the last day of the trade fair, 10 January 2020, the focus of the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality lectures and tours will be on young talent. Students, graduates and young professionals from the interior design, architecture and design sectors will be given the opportunity to take part in presentations and come into contact with experienced experts and newcomers as well as present their own visions. In return, promising talent can enrich the industry with fresh ideas, new perspectives and unconventional solutions.

Heimtextil Trendscouting by AIT
In addition to the large Interior.Architecture.Hospitality offer, the now established Heimtextil Trendscouting by AIT will also take place. Up to 70 selected readers of the architecture magazine AIT are involved as trend scouts in this special award by experts for experts. On the first day of the trade fair, they will search for and document new generations of innovative products, textile room partitioning and sun protection systems, wall coverings, wallpapers and furniture at Heimtextil. From these nominations, clear trends will emerge, based on which the jury will draw up a ranking as well as determine the winners and special mentions. These will be announced on the second evening of the trade fair, 8 January 2020, as part of a celebratory awards ceremony.

The detailed programme containing information about all lectures, guided tours and specials will be available online from mid-October 2019.
