Cherishing one’s heritage isn’t at odds with ‘opening up new possibilities for the future’. So says B&B Italia’s new artistic director, Piero Lissoni.

Entrepreneurial spirit, collaboration and evolution have become the pillars of success for many businesses. It’s no different for established Italian high-end furniture brand B&B Italia, globally recognised for its iconic products and technological innovation.

In January 2021, the brand opened an important new chapter with a new Artistic Director, Piero Lissoni. The Italian architect, known for his modern approach and inventive designs, is just getting started on guiding B&B Italia’s global image, stylistic code and visual identity into the future.

Lissoni’s forward-thinking vision is supported by his experience of the brand’s essential values – rooted in high-quality craftsmanship that has endured since 1966. He has collaborated with B&B Italia since 2017 on designs such as the Liagò storage system and the new 2021 Borea outdoor collection.

It was with confidence that Gilberto Negrini, CEO of B&B Italia, appointed him to embody the past, present and future of the brand, which Lissoni described as, ‘a unique system made up of entrepreneurs with a vision capable of bringing together craftsmanship and industry, tradition and innovation, connections and collaborations.’

He continued: ‘I hope that this path we have taken together will lead us on one hand to affirm this heritage, and on the other, to open up new opportunities for the future.’
