With brands such as Loctite, Pritt and Pattex, Henkel is the world's leading supplier of adhesive technologies. With the new Inspiration Center Düsseldorf (ICD), the company is responding to the megatrends of digitalisation, globalisation and sustainability and aims to further expand its innovative strength. Today, more than 30 laboratories and numerous open-plan office spaces offer enough space for inspiration collaboration and communication.

Innovative Working Worlds
A highlight inside the building is the large, light-flooded atrium: The adjoining laboratory areas are separated from each other by Lindner Life Stereo 125 system partitions. The glass partitions, supplemented by selected aluminium and wooden doors, are also used in the open presentation and experience areas for customer visits as well as in the office landscapes in the new building. As a result, the global innovation and customer centre can react flexibly to the respective needs of the users. In the basement of the ICD, the installed system partitions were also supplemented with rotatable louvre glazing: integrated into the partition wall, these function as smoke outlets and, together with COMP+ aluminium mesh elements, designed as wall and ceiling cladding, ensure safety in the event of a fire. The almost invisible micro-perforation of the panels prevents disturbing noise inside the building and completes the soundproofing concept.

Custom-designed Luminaires from Lindner
30 different luminaire variants and lengths from Lindner Leuchtenfabrik were also installed on the first and first floors, in the foyer and in the lobby of the building. Matched to the lighting conditions, the special constructions for the ceiling ensure a pleasant lighting atmosphere in the building. In addition, the custom-made, dimmable LED light channel type LK73 with DALI control was also colour-coordinated with the ceiling design. The luminaires were supplied ready to plug in with factory-fitted connecting cable, including a system mounting solution for quick and easy installation on site.
