Since the fifties, the Ciatti family has been running the company that bears its name, an enterprise that has evolved and is still evolving over three generations. In the mid-eighties, Ciatti a Tavola was created, a line of design kitchens and accessories. The meeting between Lapo Ciatti and Bruno Rainaldi then led, in early 2000, to the creation of OC - Opinion Ciatti, a new company aimed at developing additional pieces and accessories for the home. Here furniture, chairs, mirrors and objects conceived by various major Italian designers are produced, among which important pieces such as Ptolomeo, which soon became the company's best-selling item. For this design, Bruno Rainaldi was awarded the "Compasso d’oro 2004".

Lapo Ciatti, who represents the third generation, has joined the business and brings to it the family's entrepreneurial instincts and an education in Industrial Design. New challenges and new opinions.

OC, of which Lapo Ciatti is also art director, is the expression of a way of understanding design as an experimental ground, as a laboratory for form. OC objects are intense and expressive. They tell of a non-dogmatic quest, a passion for a design attitude, that are important aspects of the production of company since the beginning. Project after project, object after object, OPINION CIATTI has created a network of unmistakable features. The furniture is often convertible and can be assembled in various combinations and compositions. A metaphor for a contemporary, free and flexible lifestyle. A house that can be transformed over time. And the furniture transformed with it. Each OC product has its own identity, its own inspiration, its own story. And these many stories, which are sometimes parallel, sometimes diverging, are tied by a common thread: the quality of design combined with the long manufacturing tradition that is the company's inheritance.
