Concept
SWING Chairs series, designed by Burkhard Vogtherr and Markur Dörner. This program has been greatly appreciated due to its innovative tilting system. SWING Executive Chairs are aimed, in principle, for Meeting Rooms, Director’s Board meeting, and Management.

Plywood 12 mm shell upholstered and inyected polyurethane foam 47 kg/m3 density. Reclining chair with tilt tension adjustment.

Burkhard Vogtherr
Germany
Born in 1942, between 1972 and his death in 2019 Burkhard Vogtherr ran a product design agency. He worked for prestigious furniture manufacturers the world over, was one of the most famous German furniture designers, and won multiple awards during his career. His expertise in areas such as sitting posture at work and movement sequences was incorporated in his designs for swivel chairs and conference furniture. However, Burkhard Vogtherr did not restrict himself just to form and design – he developed prototypes that stand in their own right. This often resulted in highly inventive furniture leading to patents across the globe.
Markus Dörner
Germany
Markus Dörner’s career as a designer started off with an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker, and several years of experience in furniture making and exhibition stand construction were followed by a degree in product design. Markus then continued to specialise in furniture design – from 2004 to 2010 as a designer at the Vogtherr design studio in Mulhouse, France and at Sedus in Waldshut, Germany. He has been working freelance in his own studio in Kassel since 2011.
