Bic coffee table

In our Bic coffee table a central aluminum frame supports the top and holds the legs, both made of marble. The resulting visual effect is that of a solid stone piece held tight by a minimalist and geometric metal crown. The marble of the top, with its colors, veins and pattern, reappears below the frame in the legs as if these were pouring from the flat upper surface in a fluid liquid-like way. The legs – that would otherwise be quite fragile and not structural- are in fact held in place by an internal steel rod connected to the metal frame. A simple structural trick that allows for the visual magic of thin conical marble legs. Painted aluminum structure, solid marble top and legs. Matte honed finish. Available in green Verde Alpi, black New Saint Laurent or white Carrara marble with matching aluminum frame.
