TAIKI: contemporary past
The result of a new collaboration with Chiara Andreatti, the comfortable and inviting TAIKI armchair reinterprets classic forms in a contemporary key.
The hand-made detail of the stitches adds a modern air to the armchair while still making a clear reference to Le Corbusier lines and proportions, while the oak-tinted, heat-treated structure in ash adds a dash of oriental spirit.

Born in Veneto not far from Venice Chiara Andreatti moved to Milan where she graduated in Industrial Design at IED in 2003 and attended a master at Domus Academy. She collaborated with designers studios such as Raffaella Mangiarotti, Renato Montagner and since 2006, she works with studio Lissoni Associati (MI), following through, parallel freelance projects and working with companies like GlasItalia, Non Sans Raison, CCtapis ,Atipico, Covo, Texturae, Reflex, MingardoDesignerFarber, and Armani Jeans. With a continuous research for aesthetics she often combines the artisan culture of her venetian roots with the design and industrial needs believing that an handcrafted and poetic touch on everyday objects will enrich our life. 2004 Exposition ”Ceramic Tiles of Italy” in Cersaie fair, Bologna. 2005 Competition ‘Murano Glass’ for Elle Decor. 2006 Packaging production for Armani. 2009 Glass tables production for Reflex. 2010 Still life for Coin and Zepter International. 2011 Exposition at the exibition ”Vicenza città bellissima: souvenir e memorabilia”, in ”Casa del palladio” , Vicenza. 2011 Exposition of ”Plieè” lamps in ”L’ Appartamento Boffi”, during Fuorisalone. 2013 Fuorisalone 'Juice' exhibition curated by Cristina Morozzi. 2013 Collaboration with Basile Arteco Edition. 2013 Exibithion "Design the Italian Excellence" at Carlton Baglioni , Milano. 2014 Production of Vègètal tableware with Non Sans Raison, presented at Maison&Object. 2014 Production of Plièe lamps with Covo srl, presented at Rho Fiera during Salone del Mobile. 2015 Production of Twinkle coffe table collection with GlasItalia, presented at Rho Fiera during Salone del Mobile. 2015 Production of Primitive Wave carpets collection with CCtapis, presented at Fuorisalone , Brera district. 2016 Production of Satin collection / coffeetable+trays for MingardoDesignerFarber. 2016 Production of series of wallpaper for Texturae. 2016 Production of Hutch bookshelf for Atipico. 2017 Exposition at the exibition ”We Women in Italian Design”, in Triennale, Milano.
