A family of projectors, designed by the Lundbergdesign studio, of various sizes and powers, with white or dynamic light, suitable to meet any need in the lighting design of outdoor areas. The design is strictly technical, but with decidedly appealing notes. Form and function identify and match perfectly, defined by changes in surfaces and materials.

A detail worthy of note: the whole technological apparatus shows a greater attention to the optics, studied internally by Platek to allow an optimal management of the light beams.

The SUN project foresees the use of COB with the aid of a new narrow-beam lens. This system allows to have the LED source fixed with a specific holder and to easily to engage the optics.

Moreover, the project allows, as needed, to change the narrow beam lens very quickly with other optics of the same size but with large beams.

The set made up of the COB / OPTICAL unit becomes a repeatable module that can be inserted into the various SUNs with geometric layouts.

Another noteworthy detail is that, using a technique commonly used in these contexts, Platek has created specially designed louvres for these optics for this line of projectors to avoid possible glare effects. By using a shield with a suitable shape, the component of a diffused light beam was removed to avoid "pollution" of the projected direct beam.

The louvres have been realized by Platek, molding in black plastic material resistant to high temperatures with anti-reflective opaque surface.

SUN won the Winner title in the German Design Award 2019. In this regard, Olle Lundberg says: "Receiving such a prestigious award is a recognition for the entire Platek team and shows that working strategically with innovation and design is a way to distinguish your products and add value to your brand in a positive and competitive way ".

Technical information

Die-cast aluminium body and locking ring. Protection with anodizing treatment, epoxy powder base coating and polyester painting. A4 stainless steel screws. AISI 304 stainless steel graduated ring to keep right adjustment.
