STRUCTURELAB S1- the sunshade system for superior demands

STRUCTURELAB S1 was developed cooperatively by architects and membrane-engineers, aimed at the creation of an unique and extraordinary designobject. The STRUCTURELAB S1 sunshade system is the amazing synthesis of elegance and functionality – the elegance of a lightweight solar sail and the sustainable functionality of a mobile umbrella system. The umbrellas are available in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes.

Type STRUCTURELAB S1 | E8 Excentro, eight-point-sail version excentric pole

First presented during SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOBILE 2010 in Milano, the STRUCTURELAB S1-Excentro provides a smart solution for narrow spaces in streetcafes, on terraces and balconies. The eccentric position of the mast opens a comfortable space for outdoor furniture while the shadow is easy adjustable – by simple turning of the pole, size, position and shape of the shadow are changed due to the eccentric shape of the sunscreen.

The STRUCTURELAB S1-Excentro combines design and elegance of the awarded S1 sunshade system with the functionality of a free-arm sunshade. Compared to well known free-arm sunshades the STRUCTURELAB S1-Excentro provides considerable higher stability in high-wind situations and is useable as an efficient shelter against rain.
