Concept
The interesting feature of this model is its fresh, dynamic, not horizontal line. Tonic owes its strong and iconographic character to its dynamic side line. A wide range of upholstery options, one colour or multi-coloured plus the choice between wooden or metal base, allow a wide range of creations from young and fresh to elegant and linear ones.

Italy
From 1990-1994 he studied Industrial Design at the Accademy of Art in Hamburg, continued at the Royal College of Art in London, where he completed his studies in August 1996 with a Master Degree in Furniture. Few months later he moves to New york, working for a Media Company and various other Design Studios. Back in Europe in 1998, he starts working for James Irvine in Milan, where he stays until autumn 2001. Since then, he works in his own studio in Milan. He is collaborating in many projects with Catharina Lorenz, working for clients like FontanaArte, Bedont, Present Perfekt, Zoltan Gruppo DePadova and Segno. Apart from working for other clients, they launched their own furniture line, which they produce and sell under the label Lorenz * Kaz. Since Spring 2003 he is Professor at the University of Bolzano, teaching at the Faculty of Art and Design.
