The MAREA range comprehends two different option when it comes to the sofa – with foldable arms and backrest or static. A range of poufs and armchairs with matching design are also available. The last introduction to the MAREA range was an upholstered panel on wheels (with breaks) that includes a movable meeting table.
Concept
La flexibilité, le changement, l’adaptabilité sont des mots constants sur le vocabulaire de l’entreprise. Chez GUIALMI, nous avons interprété ces besoins et nous avons trouvé des idées et des solutions sur la manière dont les entreprises peuvent se démeler dans ces temps difficiles et sur la manière dont le mobilier de bureau peut aider à résoudre ce problème. MAREA est un système pour les zones très différentes et caméléon qui peuvent fournir des solutions pour les réunions, le travail de concentration, la confidentialité, le besoin d'une meilleure acoustique et même de petites tâches rapides telles que la lecture du courrier. Une gamme de modules tels que des poufs, des fauteuils, des chaises, des coussins, peut également être complétée par des cloisons et des cloisons amovibles, des caissons mobiles avec des coussins, facilitant le changement d'un type de travail à un autre. L'espace devient non seulement plus informel, dynamique, mais aussi facilement adaptable. Marea a été conçu par le studio Favaretto and Partners et a remporté le RED DOT DESIGN AWARD.

Curiosity, rigor and passion for research characterize the work of ‘Favaretto & Partners’ during 40 years, specialized in industrial and architectural design. Founded in 1973 as ‘Studio Favaretto’, it has developed, starting from the 80s , a long experience in Italy and abroad, cementing long-term relationships with leading production companies, and together with them it led the whole process of industrialization for most of the projects receiving several awards for the same. Ability in the application of materials, precision design and research for innovation, form and function , always characterized the approach of ‘Favaretto & Partners’. The technical competencies gleaned over decades and the ever-present passion for experimentation have enabled the practice to work successfully and with versatility in different manufacturing sectors, from telephones to furnishings (seating, lighting, upholstered ) to medical and household objects. In particular ‘Favaretto & Partners’ has specialized in the planning, prototyping and production of office furniture, technical seating (task and executive) and collective systems, introducing, in certain cases, design languages embraced by other designers and manufacturers. ‘Favaretto & Partners’ actively supports and adheres to the principles of “Design for All”, a declaration accepted by the European Commission and promoted by the I.I.D.D. (Italian Institute Design Disability today DFA Italia). The declaration encourages disability-proof design practices which aim to make objects and environments accessible and functional to the widest possible range of users. Some of the most important awards received: Recommendation for the Compasso D'oro, Design Index ADI, Good Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, German Design Award, Iconic Awards, Interior Innovation Award, Young Design Award, Grandesign Etico, Biennial of Industrial Design-Ljubljana, Office Design, Institute of Business Designers Award.
