Concept
“Is a piece of wood that rests on a simple structure enough to produce a piece of furniture?”. This is the question Christophe Pillet asked himself when he designed the Any Day console. For the designer, the answer is yes, if “in this sophisticated understatement we find attention to detail, balanced proportions, celebrated elegance of the silhouette and masterful execution, characteristics that define the unique quality of that object”.
The Any Day console combines pure lines and minimalist design, expressed through a great number of finishes that emphasize its outstanding versatility.
The sleek metal structure supports a Canaletto walnut veneered element, complete with practical drawers, that comes in an array of finishes. The top can be made of wood or in various types of marble.
The concept of the Any Day console also extends to a family of coffee and side tables, available in a number of sizes and finishes; and also, an ottoman whose distinctive seat is made of woven paper cord or paper rush cord, natural materials that trace their origin to traditional methods.
The Any Day Outdoor family of coffee tables combines pure lines and minimalist design, expressed through a selection of finishes that emphasize its outstanding versatility.
The sleek stainless steel structure can be paired with tops in solid iroko wood with natural finish, stained grey or lacquered white; or, in the following types of stone: Beola Argentata, Pietra del Cardoso, Lava and Porphyry.
The concept of the Any Day Outdoor coffee tables also extends to an ottoman whose distinctive seat is made of woven matt polypropylene cord in natural, ice, straw or anthracite color.

Biography Christophe Pillet Graduated from the Decorative Arts School in Nice in 1985, Master of Domus Academy, Milano, in 1986. He worked with Martine Bedin in Milano for two years (1986-1988). He started his own agency in 1993 and has been working independently ever since. His first furniture were produced by XO in 1991. He now engages in many fields: product and furniture design, interior decoration, architecture, scenography and artistic direction. He creates furniture and objects for Cappellini, Daum, JC Decaux, Driade, Ecart International, L’Oréal, Lacoste, Moroso, Porro, Renault, Serralunga, Shiseido, Shu Uemura, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, Whirlpool… He also realises interior architecture for boutiques, hotels and restaurants such as the very hip Hôtel Sezz in Paris.
