Grid | Beach

The Grid pendant combines modern design with references to the classic Scandinavian design tradition. The designH of Grid is a refined interpretation of the traditional industrial lamps used at metal latches. The grid serves as both a decorative and functional element –it adds a twist to the design and prevents nosy fingers from touching the bulb. Grid is suitable for private as well as public settings, e.g. above a dining table or a kitchen counter, in restaurants, cafés, and canteens- single or in clusters.

The subdued colour range named “Scandinavia” underlines the idiom of Grid. The colours have been selected by Susana Errebo Skouborg; a qualified architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Susana prefers the Nordic colours. They are timeless and create peace and harmony, which makes the user feel comfortable in the room. Susana Errebo Skouborg explains her choice of colours as follows: "The GRID pendant is contemporary in its idiom, but has clear references to our proud tradition of Scandinavian design. The grid gives the pendant a twist and radiates security.

These are the qualities which I wanted to emphasize with the chosen colours.
