Concept
L’art moderne du XXe et du XXIe siècle mérite un bâtiment tout aussi moderne avec des meubles assortis. C’est la tâche que se sont fixée les architectes berlinois Sauerbruch Hutton lorsqu’ils ont reçu la commande du musée Brandhorst de Munich. Trois sièges différents ont été conçus pour le musée où ils ont trouvé leur place à la café- téria, dans le foyer et dans les salles de réunion ou de conférence. ClassiCon en a développé les projets en étroite collaboration avec les architectes, jusqu‘au passage en série. En plus des exigences de forme et de qualité, on a tenu compte de la forte sollicitation liée à l’espace public et validé la capacité de résistance par le biais de différents procédés de tests.

Sauerbruch Hutton is an international agency for architecture, urbanism and design, founded in 1989. Presently there are about 100 Architects, Designers, Engineers, Modelmakers and administrative staff of approx. twelve different nationalities working in our office in Berlin. The team is led by Matthias Sauerbruch, Louisa Hutton, Juan Lucas Young as well as Jürgen Bartenschlag and Andrew Kiel. Sauerbruch Hutton realise individual and sustainable solutions to a wide range of programmes. The enjoyment of the sensuality of space and material, as well as the mastery of up-to-date technology is combined with the intelligent use of existing resources of every kind. Built works range from the much-noted Brandhorst Museum in Munich to the Federal Environmental Agency in Dessau, which presents a benchmark building for the sustainable design of offices. A whole series of projects for private and public clients are currently under way in Paris, Geneva, Milan, Tilburg, Sheffield and several cities in Germany. Our projects are always inspired by and tailored to the specifics of their site, their brief and their client. Since we consider architecture to be a process of dialogue we intimately involve selected experts and consultants in every stage of the design process. Sauerbruch Hutton have been awarded numerous national and international prizes.
