Confetti is the new collection of glazed stoneware tiles designed by the Marcante-Testa (UdA) firm for Ceramica Vogue. This project is characterised by patterns of graphic inspiration evocative of a near past that can protect the most intimate aspects of people and their memories. The collection is designed for the home and for non-residential interiors such as restaurants and hotels, which bring to mind the dimension of home because they are the best expression of essential traits of the human character, such as humour, lightness and the ability to not take oneself too seriously. The Confetti collection comes in one format (25x25 cm, rectified, 10 mm thickness) with four types of decorations suggested by the names of the architecture in four Italian cities: Milano, Venezia, Roma and Torino. The micro patterns, available in 6 colours with an additional 8 matching solid colours, make the Confetti collection a new classic for tiling floors and walls, designed and produced in Italy coherently with the philosophy of Ceramica Vogue.

Andrea Marcante has been a co-founder of the architecture firm UdA (1992-2014), where he worked on an ongoing basis since 2004 with Adelaide Testa on all the interior design projects. Starting in 2014 Andrea Marcante and Adelaide Testa created a new design studio, MARCANTE – TESTA, oriented towards research on architecture and design, as well as corporate consulting in the sector of materials and decor. The atmospheres of Marcante-Testa set out to elegantly recombine multiple habitat values. To be serious and fun, authentic and refined, to have deep roots and to love the world: “if certain interiors are thrilling, it is because they are demonstrations of a possible choice between conflicting aspects of our character, of the legitimate aspiration to transform our disquieting contradictions into something beautiful”. In 2016, with the project Liberamensa, the studio launched a path of collaboration with the public administration to introduce interior design in neglected places such as prisons. Through a specific service called Content & Context, the studio supports various companies in the field of furniture and materials as art directors or consultants; among the active or recent collaborations Ex.t, Carpet Edition, SEM, Spotti Valcucine, Archiproducts, Ceramica Vogue, GTV Thonet. The studio’s projects have received important prizes and honors, stimuli for spatial research towards an architecture of counterpoint – of emotion and reason – in the spirit of a renewed sensibility of humankind. In 2019, “T-The New York Times Style Magazine” mentioned Marcante-Testa as “one of Italy’s most innovative architecture firms”. In 2022 "Atelier Marcante-Testa" is created, a new reality for professionals and companies, to tell through teaching modules the specific themes of interior architecture that distinguish the research of the firm.
