In James bed the lightness of the bed frame contrasts with the volumes of the padded section of the headboard which seems suspended in space. The unique nature of the James design is obvious from this key element, since this is a bed whose presence alone is capable of endowing a space with both character and discretion. This meeting of proportions and formal synthesis is also dependent on the qualities of the materials: the dry coldness of the metal and the soft welcoming warmth of the fabric, leather or eco-leather fabrics. A further ornamental motif is the stitching and needlework on the headboard cover which enhance it by recalling the typical elegance of the 1950s. The James bed can be completed with the coordinated bench of the same name.

Italy
Born in 1953 he left formal education and began, almost by chance, his experience in the field of the padded furniture. Fascinated by the world that surrounded him, he eagerly devoted himself to researching building forms and techniques which have borne fruit for the companies in which he worked. In 1991 he opened his studio as an independent designer and in 1993 he came across Saba Italia. New challenges and new incentives lead to the creation of the “nomad sofa”: Taos, Ananta, Limes, Nesting, Pixel, Avant-Après. Creations that were born from reflection of new desires that encourage us to live in a less formal way, equipped with systems that enable change with simple gestures, by playing with shapes.
