Alone time 

The dual impulses of the desire for splendid, restorative isolation (a place apart) and the longing for the bustle of the crowd (a place to party) are familiar to all of us right now. The former, at least in our popular imagination, often manifests itself in the trope of the forest or mountain cabin. In the real world, such diminutive projects are gold for architects: combining reduced carbon footprints with the opportunity to dialogue with dramatic natural contexts.
