HEIMTEXTIL IS WEARING NEW THREADS.
AND IT'S LOOKING PRETTY SHARP.

It's fair enough to say that, six years ago, architects may not have got all over-excited about the event, in spite of the fact that it's the leading trade fair internationally for residential and contract textiles. But, as the scope textile products offer in terms of their interior-design application continues to grow – in no small part due to digital technology and smart materials – so architects, planners and other professionals looking for inspiration beyond mere decoration have been rediscovering Heimtextil.

It's
a fair
that's cut from different cloth. So, see you there.

And don't forget to download our Architonic Guide Heimtextil 2017.

GET THE GUIDE
N°31: INEKE HANS

Currently living in London, Dutch designer Ineke Hans spoke with Architonic about the materials she particularly favours right now.

Ineke Hans: I really like textiles. It is about the tactile sensation and the warm ambience that the material brings along. In a way, textiles are very close to you.

THEME PARK PRESENTS TOMORROW'S TRENDS

The ‘Theme Park’ in Hall 6.0 is the main area for trends and inspiration at Heimtextil. It is also a great source of design innovations, ideas and food for thought for architects and interior architects. Linked directly to the trend area, the ‘Conference Space’ provides the setting for a four-day programme of lectures at which internationally renowned design experts will speak about the latest market developments.

As the world’s biggest trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil has a special function as a trend barometer and benchmark for quality textiles
characterised by first-class design and innovative functionality. Trend experts have prepared the most important general trends for the fair every year since 1991. And their creative input has been a valuable orientation aid offering reliable trend predictions for product developers, furnishing specialists and designers. At Heimtextil 2017, the new trends are visualised at the ‘Theme Park’.

Responsibility for the concept and implementation of the ‘Theme Park’, as well as the design of the accompanying Trend Book and the new website has been assumed by French Carlin International trend studio under the auspices of Exalis from Berlin.

Attention is also drawn to these exhibitors by logos on their exhibition stands. The guide will be available for you to take away for free at the fair and will also be available as a download from the Heimtextil website.
