Making room for innovation

Salone del Mobile is back as the star of the design calendar for its 62nd edition: the leading international event for the design industry will once again be held from 16th to 21st April at Milan’s Rho Fiera fairgrounds during Milan Design Week 2024. Organisers expect the fair to welcome around 2,000 exhibitors, in line with last year, and over 300,000 visitors from around the globe. With updated fairgrounds, a special focus on young designers at the anniversary edition of SaloneSatellite, EuroCucina — the biennial kitchen and bathroom exhibition – and a recently announced installation by legendary filmmaker David Lynch, this year's fair promises to shake things up with more innovation than ever.

What remains constant: the Salone's role as a laboratory of experimentation and cross-pollination, a place to meet face-to-face and create new business opportunities. Prototypes are presented and tested: bedrooms, living and dining areas, entrance corridors and outdoor spaces or tables and chairs set the scene for an inquisitional narrative that may start with a single item, but ultimately is about the big questions that shape our way of living and affect the world around us, and the people in it. We can't wait to hunt for answers with you next month. Read more

What to expect at the International Bathroom Exhibition 2024
In order to exhibit innovation, you must, first of all, be innovative. This also applies to the project for the new layout of the International Bathroom Exhibition at the 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, which will feature 180 exhibitors, 25% of them from other countries, arranged over 18,000 m2 in Pavilions 6-10.

To make visits more intuitive and easier to navigate, Lombardini22, a multidisciplinary studio that has been applying neuroscience to support the architectural design process since 2013, has reimagined the biennial event dedicated to bathrooms in a more 'urban', ring-shaped form. Read more
