Someone asked me recently what I missed about the office, having been working from home for a good few months now. Pheromones, I replied. No amount of Zoom-conferencing can replace the multi-sensory, analogue experience of unmediated interaction with your team. I’d go so far as to say it’s good for mind and body.

As well-being has jumped to the top of the architectural agenda, corporate campuses are excellently placed to welcome back their staffers. Inspirational and aspirational, they offer generous, collaborative environments for their employees, while functioning, through their confident schemes, as expressive brand assets.

Swiss architectural and design practice Evolution Design, in partnership with Russian architectural office T+T Architects, has developed striking new headquarters for Russian bank Sberbank. An internal atrium acts as a remarkable centrepiece for the scheme, complete with a suspended, diamond-shaped meeting space, 20m high green walls and a series of cantilevered meeting rooms.
