Known for his minimalist aesthetic, Belgian architect and designer Vincent van Duysen aims to create aesthetically pleasing atmospheres with a sort of warm sensuality. Architonic spoke with Vincent van Duysen about the philosophy behind his architecture, interiors and design projects, and about his passion for natural colours and materials.
Vincent van Duysen: I mainly use natural materials. I like the sensual perception of wood, stone, natural fibres, and so on. I don’t believe in any kind of materials where technology dominates.

Why change a good thing? Every January, on the first two evenings of imm cologne, we party hearty at the unique venue that is the Klubbar King Georg – and this year is no exception. 

The Architonic Disco on 16 and 17 January is the perfect opportunity at the end of a hard day at the fair to meet friends, discuss your initial impressions in a relaxed atmosphere, and to develop your visions for 2017. Cologne's Kame House DJ collective will be playing cool music, while the bar will, with the support of Gents tonic water and Copperhead Gin, once again be serving the finest gin and tonics.
